Reflecting on a Year of Growth and Community: Annual Members Recap

The Chenango Greenway Conservancy's Annual Members Meeting, held on January 10th in the cozy ambiance of Park Place Restaurant's private room, was a fantastic meet up. It was an evening filled with reflections, gratitude, and excitement for the future.

Financial Insights and Achievements

The evening began with a detailed financial report presented by Thomas Holmes, offering transparency and insight into our operations. This segment was not only informative but also a testament to the prudent management and dedication of our team.

Celebrating 2023's Milestones

2023 was a remarkable year for us, marked by several successful initiatives and events. Highlights included our vibrant Summer Soiree, the entrance way on Wheeler Avenue, and the 3 Amigos Wetlands Restoration. These efforts not only enhanced our greens space but they strengthened community bonds.

Looking Forward to 2024

The year ahead promises even more growth and engagement. We're particularly excited about the Keeper Site Restorations. Being able to share Keeper stories at various Keeper sites is what makes our Stone Quarry trails unique. Additionally, our well attended Full Moon Hikes will continue to light up our nights with adventure and camaraderie. We are also hoping to bring in more wellness hikes and family hikes.

Returning Favorites and New Adventures

2024 will see the return of our cherished events like the Race to the Face 5k and the Mountain Goat Challenge, Rock the Quarry, and Tales and Trails. Kicking off this year is the return of the FATNANGO BIKE Race in February - an event that promises to be as thrilling as it sounds!

A Heartfelt Thanks from Chairperson Sharon Pelosi

Our Chairperson, Sharon Pelosi, extended a heartfelt thank you to all the members who contributed immensely in 2023. Special thanks were given to our trail keepers, operations team, event planners, and public relations team members for their unwavering dedication and hard work.

Honoring Our Community

The highlight of the evening was honoring our 2023 Volunteers of the Year - Scott Sutton and Judy Killean. Their tireless efforts and passion have left an indelible mark on the Greenway Conservancy, embodying the spirit of community and conservation.

The Chenango Greenway Conservancy stands strong, thanks to the collective effort of each member, volunteer, and supporter. Here's to a 2024 filled with more trails, more adventures, and more shared moments in the great outdoors!
