Whether you're an avid hiker or just looking to enjoy a beautiful evening in nature, this event offers a unique way to mark the beginning of summer. On June 21st, we are offering two distinct hikes to the Face, where you will witness the stunning moonrise. The first hike begins at 6:30 PM from the Dungeon on Upper Ravine Road. This group will embark on a journey that will take them through a variety of special sites, offering a gradual and exploratory route to the face of the quarry. For those seeking a more vigorous challenge, the second hike will start at 7:30 PM from Wheeler Avenue. This shorter but steeper route will provide an exhilarating ascent, perfect for those who enjoy a challenge but want to keep it short. The sense of accomplishment upon reaching the Face will be matched only by the breathtaking view of the moon ascending in the twilight sky. Participants in both hikes are encouraged to wear sturdy footwear and bring a flashlight for the journey back.
